Mongolian tögrög

Mongolian tugrik

The official money of Mongolia is the togrog, also known as the tugrik. In the past, it was divided into 100 mongo. The 10-togrog note is currently the lowest denomination regularly in circulation, while the 20,000-togrog note is the highest. The symbol for money in Unicode is U+20AE T TUGRIK SIGN. The togrog appreciated 15% versus the US dollar in 2010 as a result of the expansion of Mongolia's mining sector. However, because to a decline in foreign investment and mining revenue, its exchange rate fell by 24% between early 2013 and June 2014.
